About the Role
Do you want to be part of a dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff, repairing our client’s fleet of buses across Slough? Our client is looking for skilled and forward-thinking individuals to join their busy Engineering team.

They are looking for NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Engineers – preferably in heavy vehicle or PSV mechanical maintenance. However, applications are also welcome from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices, where applicable
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
About You
- Minimum of Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in vehicle mechanics
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to obtain a PCV licence (support will be provided)
- Experience working with buses, coaches, or HGVs is an advantage, but all vehicle mechanic experience will be considered
