This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful 4PL business, arranging the transportation of goods via sub-contractors.

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive individual who must have previous experience in a transport or freight forwarding background, with a proven track record of achieving targets and working to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• You MUST have experience dealing and negotiating with sub-contractors and hauliers.
• Achieve and exceed performance targets in a high-pressure environment.
• Upselling business to existing customers.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating reliability and accountability.
• Utilise commercial awareness to contribute to business success.
• Manage sub-contracting activities, ensuring compliance with transport legislation and cost efficiency.
• Participate in an on-call rota as required. (currently once every 5 weeks).

Requirements:

• Previous 4PL or 3PL experience.
• Proven experience in a targeted, performance-driven role.
• Proven negotiation skills and market knowledge within the transport industry.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of transport costs and legislation.
• Flexibility to handle on-call duties as part of a rotational schedule.
